There has been an active ministry at CGS for well over 30 years. By year-end 2018 total donations from CGS donors surpassed 14,000 units donated to the community since the inception of this ministry.

The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center (GCRBC) is a non-profit community blood center that now serves more than 170 healthcare institutions in the 26 county Texas Gulf Coast region. Blood needs in this area exceed 800 units daily. The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center maintains a website www.giveblood.org that provides general information about donating and provides answers to frequently asked questions.
