Becoming Catholic or completing the sacraments of baptism, confirmation, and Eucharist (Communion) in the Catholic Church.
RCIA is a process by which those interested in learning more about the Catholic faith come together on a weekly basis to study the Scriptures and the teachings of the Catholic Church, and at the same time, to discover where God is present in their lives. Within this process, they can make informed decisions about their choice to become full and active members of the Catholic Church.
RCIA is for adults and for children over the age of seven who are: ▪ Unbaptized
▪ Baptized in another Christian faith tradition
▪ Baptized Catholic, but did not receive First Communion or religious instruction.
In RCIA, we pray with the Sunday readings, learn, and discuss important issues. RCIA is designed for those who are entering the Church so the teachings are basic and yet informative. A real community is built among members and it is a rewarding and enjoyable experience. RCIA is a journey in which people can experience the presence of God, and support from the parish community, in their call to follow Jesus.
Inquiry Sessions for Adults interested in inquiring about the Catholic Church or becoming Catholic are held on Mondays at 7:00 p.m. in the "Bride's Room." Our receptionist can help you find it.
